Bandicut is a handy video editor that specializes in cutting and joining video files. You can use it to easily extract segments of a video file, - or split it into multiple parts -, and to join several video files together into a new one. When cutting a video, you can get its parts joined as a single video file too, so that the program can also be used to remove unwanted portions of a video.
The program offers an intuitive, dark-colored user interface with two clearly identified sections - Cutter and Joiner. The former allows you to load a single video file and set the start and end times of the segment you want to extract. You can do it with total accuracy thanks to the program's built-in video player and its slider controls, however, you can also type the exact times with milliseconds precision. You can configure several segments to be extracted from the same video file at once, and optionally merge them into a new one, as I said before. When you are about to start the process, you can select between two modes: high-speed, which is fast and lossless, and encoding, which is much slower but allows you to set the output codecs, bitrates and other parameters.
The Joiner section, on the other hand, allows you to add all the source video files you want to join together. Then you simply need to click on the "Start" button to open the "Output Settings" window where you can configure the output folder and encoding settings, if required. From this version of the program, the joiner function also supports high-speed and encoding modes, however, the first one can only be used when all the source videos are of exactly the same format and resolution. Besides, both the cutter and the joiner functions allow you to optionally extract the audio stream of your processed video files, saving them as MP3 files.
As you can see, Bandicut offers you an easy and fast way to cut your video files, split them, extract their unwanted parts, join them and extract their audio streams, whether you are a standard user or an expert. The program can work with source videos in a myriad of formats including AVI, MPEG, WMV, MOV, MP4, M4V, VOB, ASF, RM, RMVB, DIVX and many more.
Split MP3 files into smaller parts or join MP3 files together into a bigger one.
